Great White Pools

Privacy Policy

Effective August 2, 2026
Last updated August 4, 2026

Our Privacy Promise

WE DO NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. PERIOD.

Your information is not a product.

Great White Pools uses your personal information only to help with your request, communicate with you, provide and support pool services, operate and protect our website and business, and meet legitimate safety, accounting, and legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or license personal information or customer contact lists. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or unrelated marketing.

Certain service providers may process limited information on our behalf when necessary to host and secure the website, deliver communications, or support requested services. They are not permitted to use that information for their own advertising or unrelated purposes.

About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Great White Pools collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains information obtained through greatwhitepools.org, including information submitted through the Quick Contact form or another website request form.

This policy primarily covers information collected through the website. If a website request becomes active customer work, information reasonably necessary to provide and document that service may become part of Great White Pools’ regular scheduling, service, accounting, warranty, safety, or customer-support records.

Information You Provide

When a website request form is available, you may provide information such as:

  • Your name.
  • Your pool or service address.
  • Your telephone number.
  • Your email address.
  • Whether you are a new or returning customer.
  • Your preferred reply method.
  • The type of service, estimate, or assistance requested.
  • A description of the pool, property, or issue.
  • Preferred service dates or times.
  • Whether the request concerns a commercial pool.
  • Permission to send a text response about the request, when applicable.
  • Other information you choose to include in your message.

Please provide only the information reasonably necessary for your initial request.

Do Not Submit Sensitive Information Through the Request Form

Please do not submit any of the following through a general website request form:

  • Payment-card numbers.
  • Bank-account information.
  • Passwords or login credentials.
  • Social Security numbers.
  • Government-issued identification numbers.
  • Gate, alarm, lockbox, or property-access codes.
  • Medical or health information.
  • Photographs containing unnecessary private information.
  • Any other sensitive information that is not necessary for an initial pool-service request.

Please call Great White Pools instead if unusually sensitive information must be discussed.

Information Processed Automatically

The website and the providers that host, deliver, and protect it may automatically process limited technical information needed to operate and secure the site, including:

  • Internet Protocol address.
  • Date and time of a request.
  • Pages or website resources requested.
  • Browser and device information.
  • General network and diagnostic information.
  • Security and abuse-prevention events.
  • Information needed to identify spam or excessive requests.
  • Information related to website, form, or message-delivery failures.

The website request form may create a temporary hashed network identifier for rate limiting and spam prevention. The raw network address is not placed in the Great White Pools website-request table.

Website hosting, security, and communications providers may retain limited technical or delivery records according to their settings, agreements, and legal obligations.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website or its hosting and security providers may use cookies or similar technologies when necessary to:

  • Deliver the website.
  • Maintain basic website functionality.
  • Protect forms from spam or abuse.
  • Maintain security.
  • Diagnose technical failures.

The first-release website does not use:

  • Advertising pixels.
  • Advertising cookies.
  • Cross-site behavioral tracking.
  • Third-party behavioral advertising.
  • An analytics service that tracks visitors across unrelated websites.

Where Information Comes From

Great White Pools may receive information:

  • Directly from you when you submit a form, send an email, call, send a text message, or otherwise communicate with us.
  • Automatically from your browser, device, and network when you use the website.
  • From service providers acting on our behalf, such as website hosting, security, and communications providers.
  • From another person who is authorized to request service for a property or business.

Great White Pools does not purchase consumer profiles, marketing lists, or personal information from data brokers for use with the website request system.

How We Use Information

Great White Pools may use information to:

  • Review and respond to your inquiry.
  • Discuss requested services, estimates, availability, or scheduling.
  • Determine whether you are a new or returning customer.
  • Contact you using your preferred or another reasonable reply method.
  • Arrange, provide, and support pool-related services.
  • Maintain service, accounting, warranty, safety, and customer-support records.
  • Protect the website and prevent spam, fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Diagnose website, form, email, or message-delivery failures.
  • Verify and respond to privacy requests.
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or lawful requests.
  • Protect customers, workers, Great White Pools, or other people from harm.

Great White Pools does not use website-request information to:

  • Sell personal information.
  • Create advertising profiles.
  • Conduct unrelated marketing.
  • Enable behavioral advertising.
  • Make money from customer data.

Submitting a website request does not confirm:

  • An appointment.
  • Service availability.
  • Acceptance of a commercial account.
  • An emergency response.
  • A price or estimate.
  • Authorization to perform work.
  • A contractual relationship.

Great White Pools must separately confirm any service arrangement.

We Do Not Sell or Share Personal Information for Advertising

Great White Pools does not:

  • Sell personal information.
  • Rent customer contact lists.
  • Trade personal information.
  • License customer information to data brokers.
  • Share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Allow advertising networks to track visitors through this website.
  • Use website-request information for unrelated third-party marketing.

Because Great White Pools does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is currently no sale or advertising-related sharing from which website visitors need to opt out.

When Information May Be Disclosed

Great White Pools may disclose limited information only when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Service Providers

Information may be processed by providers that help Great White Pools operate, protect, or communicate through the website, including providers of:

  • Website hosting and infrastructure.
  • Website security and abuse prevention.
  • Business email and message delivery.
  • Data storage and backup.
  • Website maintenance or technical support.
  • Scheduling, accounting, customer-support, or service-management systems when a request becomes active work.

These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services. They are expected to process that information on behalf of Great White Pools and not for unrelated advertising or independent commercial purposes.

Great White Pools configures website-request notifications so that customer contact details and service addresses are not included in the email body.

Legal, Safety, and Business-Protection Disclosures

Information may also be disclosed when Great White Pools reasonably believes disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law.
  • Respond to lawful legal process.
  • Protect a person’s safety.
  • Prevent or investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Enforce an applicable agreement.
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • Protect the rights or property of Great White Pools, its customers, workers, or others.

Business Transfer

If Great White Pools is reorganized, sold, merged, or transferred, relevant business records may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to reasonable confidentiality and privacy protections.

A new owner would remain responsible for information collected under this policy unless customers receive notice of a material change as required by law.

Retention

Great White Pools keeps website information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Temporary Website Requests

A temporary website-request record is scheduled for deletion approximately one month after submission.

Technical failures, backups, provider retention schedules, legal requirements, or security needs may cause limited copies or technical records to remain for a longer period.

Active Service Records

When a request becomes active work, Great White Pools may copy only the information reasonably needed for:

  • Scheduling.
  • Pool service.
  • Customer communication.
  • Estimates or invoicing.
  • Accounting and taxes.
  • Warranty matters.
  • Property or worker safety.
  • Legal compliance.
  • Dispute resolution.
  • Customer support.

That information may be retained according to applicable business, accounting, tax, insurance, safety, warranty, and legal requirements.

Great White Pools does not retain website-request information merely because it might someday be useful for advertising or data monetization.

Your Privacy Choices and Requests

You may ask Great White Pools to:

  • Tell you what personal information from a website request we maintain about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete information that is no longer reasonably needed.
  • Explain how information has been used or disclosed.
  • Stop sending text messages regarding a request.
  • Continue communication by telephone or email instead.
  • Address another privacy concern.

You may submit a request using either of the following methods:

Email: kcreley@greatwhitepools.org
Telephone: (916) 505-3846

Please describe your request and provide enough information for Great White Pools to identify the relevant website submission.

Great White Pools may need to verify your identity before providing, correcting, or deleting information. Information collected for verification will be used only to evaluate and respond to the request.

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. Great White Pools may request reasonable evidence that the agent is authorized to act for you and may verify your identity directly.

Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for:

  • Active or requested services.
  • Accounting, taxation, or transaction records.
  • Security and fraud prevention.
  • Warranty obligations.
  • Legal compliance.
  • Legal claims or disputes.
  • Protecting the safety or rights of others.

You will not be denied ordinary service, charged a different price, or treated unfairly merely because you make a good-faith privacy request. However, deleting information may affect Great White Pools’ ability to provide or document a service you requested.

Text Messages

When you consent to receive a text response:

  • Your consent applies only to communications relating to your request or resulting service.
  • Great White Pools does not use that consent to send unrelated marketing texts.
  • Your telephone number and text-message consent are not sold or shared with third parties for their marketing.
  • You may ask Great White Pools to stop texting at any time.
  • You may request that the conversation continue by telephone or email.

Consent to receive a text message is not a condition of purchasing a service.

Browser Privacy Signals

The first-release website does not track visitors across unrelated websites for advertising.

Because that tracking does not occur, changing a browser’s Do Not Track setting does not change the website’s current behavior.

Great White Pools also does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. A recognized opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, is therefore consistent with Great White Pools’ existing practices because there is no sale or advertising-related sharing to disable.

If Great White Pools later introduces practices affected by these signals, the website and this policy will be updated before or when those practices begin.

Security

Great White Pools uses reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical safeguards designed for the type and amount of information handled through the website.

These safeguards may include:

  • Limiting the information requested.
  • Restricting access to information.
  • Using spam and abuse controls.
  • Using secure website hosting and communications.
  • Applying temporary storage and deletion schedules.
  • Limiting information included in email notifications.
  • Reviewing and responding to suspected security events.

No Internet transmission, email service, website, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Please do not use the website form to submit information that is unusually sensitive or unnecessary for an initial request.

Children’s Privacy

The website and pool-service request form are intended for adults arranging property services. They are not directed to children under 13.

Great White Pools does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website request form. If Great White Pools learns that such information was submitted, it will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Great White Pools does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Changes to This Policy

Great White Pools may update this policy to reflect changes in:

  • Website features.
  • Business practices.
  • Service providers.
  • Security measures.
  • Legal requirements.

Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised Last updated date before or when the changes take effect.

If a change would materially alter how previously collected request information is used, Great White Pools will provide additional notice when reasonably required.

Great White Pools will not silently convert customer information into advertising inventory or a product for sale.
